I have rounded up some of my favorite trays and boards to build my cheese and charcuterie spreads on, and added in several that I would love to add to my collection. My favorite types of trays or boards are ones with a little bit of a lip around the edge. This keeps your board looking sharp and holds everything in place so it doesn’t roll off when moving it from fridge to party. I keep a variety of wood, metal, glass, and marble trays in my collection and love having options.
Also note, not all trays are “food safe” so make sure you check before placing everything directly on them. If your vessel is not food safe, or you are worried about staining it, place a barrier of plastic wrap just under the food, once everything is on you’ll never see it!
Finally, I like buying spreaders and spoons individually so you can pick and choose how many of each you want. I prefer this over the sets, I don’t always find all the pieces useful.I also keep a variety of small bowls to place spreads, nuts, and olives in.
